Paradox Family,
In light of the recent confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Michigan in combination of recommendations of the World Health Organization, the State of Michigan, and the City of Warren to “avoid large gatherings (greater than 100 people in a shared space) or move to smaller and staggered gatherings,” we are pausing our in-person services until further notice.
What we are going to do is host smaller gatherings in homes in several locations throughout the area at 10am on Sundays. We’ll be gathering to enjoy a livestream video experience together. You’ll be able to find live worship, a message, and a discussion guide on our Facebook page.
Find a gathering near you here.
If you don’t have a Facebook account, we want to encourage you to join one of the many watch parties that will be going on throughout the area. If you are unable to join live, you will be able to find the video experience on our website afterward. There will also be a video experience specifically for our elementary aged Journey Kids that you’ll be able to find there as well.
This is obviously such a unique time for us as a church and for us as a country. I want to remind you to continue to follow the guidance of our community leaders and CDC officials. If you are not feeling well or exhibiting any symptoms, please stay home and watch online, and let us know so we can walk with you. Our response as followers of Jesus is to continue to trust God so that we can experience the peace of God in our own lives and in our own city. Remember, fear can spread faster than a virus ever can, but God’s perfect love casts out all fear.
Currently, our other ministries, programs, and groups will continue uninterrupted.
Specifically, we want to encourage our entire church to continue to come every Wednesday to the House of Prayer to pray now more than ever. We want to invite you if you have a lunch hour or space in your schedule to come and intercede on behalf of our city and country and be a people of prayer. There’s never been a better time for us to come together to pray.
We’d also like to find out what needs people have so that we know how to pray and that we can meet those needs as a community. We’re partnering with city officials to prepare for serving those affected in our city. If you have an idea, please post on our Facebook group or email us at info@paradoxchurch.com.
If you have a physical or prayer need, please post on our Facebook group or email care@paradoxchurch.com.
