Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.

THANK.
Write down 5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
READ. Today’s scripture reading is from James 5:13-18
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Paradox Church is part of a larger movement of churches throughout the world called Antioch (learn more at antioch.org) We’re taking 22 Days to pray together for 2022. Find today’s prayer here.

Have you ever been on a VIP list? Dropped a name to get in somewhere? Or maybe at least picked up tickets at will-call? There’s something that feels powerful about saying a name and “getting in.” In today’s reading, James tells us that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Those are two words that I would LOVE to have characterize my prayers. But often, I don’t feel that way… especially because there seems to be a qualifier in there - the prayer of a righteous person. It’s into that phrase that the enemy will whisper - “You’re not righteous. God won’t hear. Who are you to pray?” And you know what? He’s right. We’re not righteous. the Bible tells us no one is. Except one - Jesus. And it’s in His name we pray. Because of Jesus, we can boldly enter the throne room. God hears. God cares. And God answers. There’s power in the name of Jesus! It’s not a magic word, but a relationship. When we pray in Jesus’ name, we’re saying "I’m with Him.” Whatever is on your heart today, no matter how big, you can pray in Jesus’ powerful name.

Worship - Join us for a night of worship and prayer to close the 22 days with the House of Prayer on Thursday, February 3 at 6pm at Paradox Church in Warren.

LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, thought, or story? Let us know at paradoxchurch.com/connect
