THANK. Write down or say out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for from the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Read Isaiah 53. Focus on one truth about who God is & thank Him for it.

READ. Today’s reading is from Matthew 27:57-66, Mark 16:1-7 & John 20:1-18

THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave
In today’s reading, did you notice the great lengths taken to make sure Jesus’ tomb was secure? Why would religious leaders and government officials devote precious time and resources to making sure the body of a dead man stayed in a tomb? Verse 64 gives insight into the motivation - they remembered Jesus said he would rise from the dead, and thought that his followers might come, steal his body, and spread fake news that Jesus rose from the dead… and then they would have an even bigger problem on their hands than they did before. So the decision was made - secure the tomb. Make sure that doesn’t happen. And yet, despite Jesus’ enemies sealing his tomb, the determination of the religious establishment to make sure Jesus and his movement stayed dead, and the unlimited resources provided by the government to stand guard, Jesus and his message could not be contained. He wasn’t just NOT seen dead in the tomb… he WAS seen alive. Not just by one wacko. By multitudes. In multiple places. Over multiple weeks. Today, rest securely in the truth that Jesus secured your life when he walked out of that secure tomb. Jesus is alive, and hope along with him.
