THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Every Easter Sunday I can remember has started with the pastor smiling and exclaiming, He Has Risen! And everyone in the church would respond with a resounding He has risen indeed. It was a clear, concise, humble, yet confident way of reminding ourselves that all the prophetic promises of the one who would renew things all had come true. “Indeed” they had come true. And these promises of a new kingdom, a new citizenship, and a new eternal hope were not just for the Jews, or the intellectual-elite Greeks, or the culturally influential Romans. These promises, made true by the robbing of the grave, were for all. The resurrection of Jesus is the healing antidote given to all. It is a message of restoration and renewal, the promise of eternal life both now and after sin and death no longer spreads virally across the globe. As the reality of the risen Jesus confronts those fearful disciples, Jesus gives both them and us a specific message. Peace be with you. The Prince of Peace, the one who can bring healing and death-defying power, is here. With you. Right now. In your stress, in your fear, in your uncertainty, the one who gives eternal peace is here. The King of Peace is here. Jesus has risen. He has risen indeed. Join us at Paradox Church in Warren at 9am and 11am to celebrate the risen and alive Jesus who is bringing life!
