THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave
Resurrection means rising. (Obvious, I know.) You may have heard that Jesus rose from the dead, but did you know that wasn’t the first (or last time) Jesus rose? Jesus lived a life of raising the bar and rising above. He ascended to heaven, and is exalted above every other name. And if we have been raised with Christ, we are called to continue rising too. That’s the heart of Colossians 3. Raise your thoughts above the lowly things of the earth. Rise above the division, the labels, boxes, divisions, parties and arguments of our day. Raise the bar for your relationships by not treating others the way they treat you - but treating others as sons and daughters of the King, or at the very least how you’d want to be treated. Raise the level of character you have… and raise the name of Jesus high in it all. The “down to earth” world isn’t a very happy place. Rise above and find happiness today. What is one way God is inviting you to “rise” today?
