Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Ephesians 6:10-20. Today’s reading is from 1 John 5:1-13 (Go Deeper: 1 Samuel 2:8-10, Psalm 7:10, Ephesians 2:1-10, & Hebrews 11:1)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
They say defense wins championships, the best offense is a good defense, etc, etc... A good defense controls the game script and flow. Defense protects, but it also puts you in position to attack. What is faith? It’s acting like God is telling the truth. Whatever temptations the devil fires at you, you can overcome him by believing God’s word and acting on it. The shield, a soldier’s primary defense, was made from wood and covered in linen or leather. Roman soldiers would also lock their shields together to defend themselves against their enemies as a unit. Throughout Scripture, God is referred to as a shield, and faith in Him serves as protection for us as individuals and as the people of God. What do today’s readings say about faith? How does faith equip us against spiritual attack? Where in your life do you most need the Lord to strengthen your faith?
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Connect with Us or reply to this text to let us know.

Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
Make it a Great One!
