Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.

FOCUS. Breathe in & out slowly. Pray, Jesus, you gave yourself for me. I give myself to you.
THANK. Write down or say out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for from the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Read Isaiah 51:6. Focus on one truth about who God is & thank Him for it.
PRAY. Pray the Lord’s Prayer, a Ripple Prayer, or find more at paradoxchurch.com/pray.
READ. Today’s reading is from Mark 13 and Jeremiah 31:35-37.
ASK. After reading, ask the following SOS Questions & journal your thoughts.
S = Say. What is the main point? What does it teach about God (Jesus) & yourself?
O = Obey. What can you apply (practice) from this passage today?
S = Share. Who can you share what you’re learning with today?
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Mike
Have you ever driven through a neighborhood where you haven’t lived in years and been shocked at all the changes. “Oh man, the record store is now a coffee shop. They tore down my old school. Those baseball diamonds are now an enormous eye-sore Amazon warehouse.” Things in our world change quickly. In Mark 13, a few of Jesus’ followers are marveling at the massive structure that was the Temple in Jerusalem. Jesus takes the opportunity to inform them that it will not last long and to teach them that a day will come when all the structures of men, physical and figurative, will be wiped away. He warns them of trials and tribulations to come for those that follow him, but implores them to stay true to God till the end. Why say all this? To keep them, and us today, grounded in what really matters. Too many of us are focused on building wealth, reputation, comfort, health, etc. All these things are but a blink in eternity, and don’t translate to the world our souls were created to inhabit forever. If you skipped Isaiah 51:6 from the Worship section, go back and read it. The two things that he says will remain when the world we know ends: God’s salvation and righteousness. Seek and share those things. Everything else is a video store.
