Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists & let it play in the background.
FOCUS. Our memorization & meditation focus for this study is John 1:12-13.
Breathe in & out slowly. Pray, Jesus, I receive you. God calls me His child.

WORSHIP. Read Deuteronomy 7:7-9. Focus on one truth about who God is & thank Him for it.
PRAY.

THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave
My daughter has inherited an interest in learning about our ancestry/family tree from my mom. She loves to look at pictures, read the stories, and learn more about the people who went before us. There just seems to be something to learn about our identity and story in the bigger story that we’re a part of. The records of Jesus’ genealogy in Matthew and Luke are more than lengthy lists of names - they’re just that: a story. A story of a faithful God and how He’s worked in and through broken people in beautiful ways from generation to generation. It’s a story that includes estranged families, heartbreak, betrayal, difficult moves, affairs, scandal, and infertility - but also deep friendship, marriages, beloved children, reconciliation, and adoption. Through it all, God is at work beyond the “here and now” to bring create a family, just as He promised, that would be a blessing to all families everywhere. It’s not just a story that ends with the birth of a Jewish baby boy in the first century, it’s a story that begins here too - as God brings us into this spiritual family through Jesus to shape our identity and share in its inheritance. No matter who you are or where you’re from, may you find your place in God’s family today and as you read the stories of those who have gone before you.
