Breathe in & out slowly. Pray, Jesus, I receive you. God calls me His child.
THANK. Write down or say out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for from the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Read Genesis 28:1-15. Focus on one truth about who God is & thank Him for it.
PRAY. Pray the Lord’s Prayer, a Ripple Prayer, or find more at paradoxchurch.com/pray.
READ. Today’s reading is from Genesis 25:21-34, Genesis 26:34-35, Genesis 27:1-46 & Genesis 35:9-26
ASK. After reading, ask the following SOS Questions & journal your thoughts.
S = Say. What is the main point? What does it teach about God (Jesus) & yourself?
O = Obey. What can you apply (practice) from this passage today?

I think this was my first time actually piecing together the story of Jacob and taking a deeper dive into it. It’s so encouraging! One thing that really stood out to me as I was reading was Jacob’s faith and trust in God. There were many scenarios and events that took place during Jacob’s life that seemed to shout “God isn’t going to do what He said he would do.” But Jacob chose to take God at His word and believe that He would bless Jacob and be with him all the days of his life and that God would not leave him until he had done what He had promised him. And that’s exactly what happened. As I reflect on my own walk with Jesus I feel so encouraged to believe God at His word; even when everything around me looks drastically different. The enemy will always try to convince us or deceive us into believing that God isn't who He says he is, but remember - God is faithful and unchanging. When He speaks he will follow through. God honored and blessed Jacob’s faith in Him and He will bless you too. Let’s ask God what He has spoken to us or promised us that we haven’t been believing him for and watch His faithfulness be revealed as we take steps of faith and obedience.
