Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Ephesians 4:1-6. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Acts 1:4-8 (Go Deeper: Luke 24:49, Acts 2:1-21 & 32-41, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 1:13-14 & 17-19, & Titus 3:4-7)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Life can be exhausting. Overwhelming. Just plain hard. So can relationships. From day to day life to relationships to church and our mission in the world, it’s easy to feel like we just don’t have enough in the tank. It’s too much. We’ may feel we’re doing everything in our power about a situation and even that’s not adding up to much. When we look around at the brokenness of our world and the big problems we face, it’s easy to feel powerless. Thank God we’re not left to our own power. Jesus promised to give us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit fills and fuels the Church with God’s power (not our own!) to preach the gospel, serve others, repent from sin, and increasingly live in freedom. This morning, ask for God’s power in any situation, relationship, or area of your life where you’re feeling powerless.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Let us know here or reply via text.
SHARE. Invite a friend to read the Focus with you! Just text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
Make it a Great One!
