THINK. A Thought from Gwyn Kubiak
As I was reading through the different passages for today, I was struck by what an honorable, humble man Joseph was. He was a carpenter- a normal guy. He shows us what God can do through regular, ordinary people. He also was unwilling to embarrass/shame Mary, even when he must have felt hurt and betrayed by her when he heard the news of her pregnancy. He shows us the Father’s love when he continues searching for his son when he is lost. It’s also so incredible to see how he continually obeyed the Lord right away, in many different situations- all of which would have turned out drastically different had he not acted quickly. Let’s use his obedience as an opportunity to take a look at our own lives. Is there a situation in your life that the Lord has spoken clearly, but you haven’t acted in obedience on? It’s not too late to obey! Even if you don’t understand why God is asking you to do something, like Joseph, choose to believe that He is good and has your best interest in mind.
