Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.

WORSHIP | 5-15 Minutes
Worship can be as simple as thanking God for who He is & what He’s done.
Start by playing some worship music you love, or choose from one of our Spotify Playlists.
Journal or say out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
Going Deeper: Pray Deuteronomy 32:3-12. Focus on one truth about who God is & thank Him for it.

PRAYER |
5-15 Minutes
Prayer is a conversation that involves both talking and listening to God.
Start praying for yourself using the Lord’s Prayer or pray for others using a Ripple Prayer.
Going Deeper: Learn more about prayer & try out a practice at paradoxchurch.com/pray.

SCRIPTURE | 5-25 Minutes
Our scripture focus for this study is Romans 3:23-24. Try memorizing it!
Today’s reading is from Romans 10
Ask the following SOS Questions & journal your thoughts…
S = Say. What is the main point? What does it teach about God (Jesus) & yourself?
O = Obey. What can you apply (practice) from this passage today?
S = Share. Who can you share what you’re learning with today?

A THOUGHT FROM TODAY’S READING
When I read this chapter, I can almost feel God’s cry for us. I can see and feel his gentle, patient, kind, and loving heart. However, as much as God wants every single believer, even the Jews in this case, to know His Son and follow Him, he will never force us. The love that God displays to us is unlike any other. The last verse struck a cord in my heart “all day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people”. Although he is speaking about the Israelites, I can so resonate with being disobedient and obstinate. I get this picture of a Father just waiting for his kid to turn around see that what he asked them to do or called them to is better than what their little minds thought was the right thing to do. But I think we can all be like stubborn children, disobedient and obstinate. But just as we read, when we put our faith in Jesus, we are sinless before God! We are blameless before the throne! We are righteous because of Him who died for us. He takes our sun and buries it with him. It doesn’t matter how good, obedient or pursuant you are towards Jesus, God can’t love you more or less than he does right now. And I think that is some really good news. So, ask yourself this: am I trying to earn God’s love? Or am I resting in the truth that He loves me simply because that’s who God is? -Cecelia Thapa
