Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Proverbs 16:8. Try memorizing it this week!
Today’s reading is from Proverbs 1:33, Proverbs 3:29-30, Proverbs 14:31, Proverbs 21:10-12, Proverbs 24:23-25, Proverbs 28:5 & Proverbs 29:4-6
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
We are called to live without fear because the God who made us knows our needs and takes care of us. This doesn’t mean we’ll always have physical security, but it means our identity and future are secure in Christ. As our King, God also rules the affairs of this world with a just hand. He is the only one who can rule with perfect justice because only God can see all things and understand them rightly. He always defends and advocates for the hearts of His people. These proverbs help us understand security and justice from a biblical perspective. Why is it a matter of godly wisdom to care about the poor and oppressed? How does trusting God to take care of you (security) free you to care for others?
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Let us know here or reply via text.
SHARE. Invite a friend to read the Focus with you! Just text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.
Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
Make it a Great One!
