Abraham is bold. First, upon recognizing that the Lord himself is present, he asks God not to pass without spending time with him. God didn’t need bread to eat or water for his feet, but I’m sure Abraham’s hospitable posture was appreciated. I believe it “set the table” for the second part of Abraham’s boldness…asking God to stay his hand against Sodom. God was prepared to destroy the city because of its wickedness, but was convinced by Abraham to consider another course. Where in your life do you need to witness God’s presence, slow down, and open your time and treasure to him. Where in your life do you need to boldly ask the Lord to move on your behalf or the behalf of others? Let’s do it…today!
