Good Morning!
If you’re new here, welcome! Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.

WORSHIP FOCUS | 5-15 Minutes
Worship can be as simple as thanking God for who He is & what He does. (Psalm 100:4)
Each day of this study, look for the #21DaysofThankfulness challenge in the Focus.
1. Start out by writing or saying out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for.
2. Play or sing some worship music you love, or use this Thanksgiving Playlist.
Keep the playlist on repeat, or commit to only listening to worship music today/this week/this month!

SCRIPTURE FOCUS | 5-15 Minutes
Pray a simple prayer before reading, asking the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth.
(John 14:26)
Today’s reading is from Psalm 95:1-7, Luke 15:1-10, Luke 17:11-19 & Colossians 1:9-14
Highlight verses that capture your attention, and ask three simple questions as you read…
S = Say. What is the main point? What does it teach about God (Jesus) & yourself?
O = Obey. What can you apply (practice) from this passage today?
S = Share. Who can you share what you’re learning with today?
One of the best ways to learn more about the Bible is by discussing it with others.
Work through this week’s Discussion Guide and meet up with a Paradox Lifegroup.

A THOUGHT FROM TODAY’S READING…
If you’ve ever given a good gift, especially to a child or someone you love, there is nothing like the expression of pure joy that comes over a person’s face when they receive it. Gratitude begins with the recognition that you’ve been given something good. The result? Joy. Not only for the person that received the gift, but for the one that gave it. There are certain things we all do simply for the joy that it brings the people we love. And that joy - both theirs and yours - is thanks enough… but getting a heartfelt “thank you” just seems to increase the joy, doesn’t it? There are a lot of “thankless jobs” out there. Being a parent is one of them. Being God can be another. When I read the story of the ten men healed, I can’t help but think just how much joy filled their day, their family, and every moment of the rest of their life. Unparalleled, unlimited joy in every moment of every day, even in the smallest of tasks. Every ounce of joy that would come for the rest of their life would be traced back to this singular encounter with Jesus… and yet 90% of them didn’t come back to say “thanks.” They didn’t share their joy with the giver of it. They didn’t give joy in return. Sometimes I think about that… it’s an odd thought that I can bring joy to the heart of God. My thanks is actually a gift I can give Him. I want to be like the one that came back. I want to bring joy to the heart of the one who has given me every moment of it. And in doing so, Jesus says there’s an even greater joy available. When we live thankfullly, our joy doesn’t run out. It isn’t limited to the temporal or the earthly pleasures - God gives us joy eternally. - Dave Kubiak
