Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Revelation 1:8. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Isaiah 65:17-25, Ezekiel 34:25-31, John 1:1-3,14-18, Romans 8:18-25, 2 Peter 3:10-13, Revelation 22:1-5 & Revelation 21:1-7
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Mike…
On a day when I am personally feeling overwhelmed and frustrated (prepping this Monday afternoon), God sees fit to have me type a daily focus about Hope. He is so loving towards me (us)! What I read today in these passages, written by authors who lived hundreds of years apart, is a clear, consistent picture of an amazing future.
There will come a day, when those of us who have accepted God’s grace will live in a place where peace reigns, all needs are abundantly met, and God himself will be with us. Sign me up! Come Lord Jesus! I’m ready!!!
I also read in today’s reading that I, along with all other believers ,and in fact ALL of creation, need to wait. We are stuck in holding pattern…eagerly expecting this time to come. The world groans in pain, waiting to be liberated from its current state by the return of the great liberator: Jesus. No one knows when, but we trust that God will fulfill his promise when the time is right. Until then, we are called to be holy and Godly.
I don’t know about you, but it helps me to know I am not alone when I am frustrated, overwhelmed, and troubled in this life. And it really helps me to have HOPE in the future that God will one day deliver to us.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
TALK. That was our take on today’s reading - what’s yours? Share thoughts and ask questions in the forum.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
