Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
READ. Today’s scripture reading is from Luke 2:21-40
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Like moth to a flame. Have you ever noticed that a solitary light in the darkness has an attractive quality? It’s not just bugs - it’s people too. There’s nothing like sitting around a campfire on a fall night - gazing into the flames. Light draws people in. Simeon and Anna were drawn to Jesus, the light of the world. Simeon walks into the temple from the street. Anna was in the temple daily. Undoubtedly, she saw plenty of children dedicated. But there was something about this one. Something different. There was a light about Him. They were drawn to Jesus. This holiday season, I’m praying that you would be drawn to Jesus - whether you’re going about your daily business or doing ‘spiritual’ things. Whatever it is, I hope you stop whatever it is and go to Him. I pray that your eyes would see salvation when you look to Him. And then, watch as others are drawn to the light too - Christ in you, the hope of glory.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
