Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Revelation 1:8. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Daniel 7:13-14, 27, Luke 21:25-31, 34-36, 1 Corinthians 15:50-57, 2 Timothy 2:8-13 & Revelation 5:8-13
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Most people prefer the beginning to the end (unless it’s the end of winter in Michigan.) Today, we find ourselves at the end of our Advent study and nearing the end of the Christmas season. The anticipation of all that this season would hold is now behind us. But every end can be a new beginning. What if one of the enduring gifts of Christmas in your life this year was learning to live with anticipation every day of the year? What does the beginning of a new year represent to you? How are you feeling as you leave 2022 behind and look ahead at another year? Let me ask you this - what are you anticipating in 2023? Start with the simple joys and pleasures of people and plans. Thank God for them. Then, move on to the hopes, dreams, accomplishments, victories, and prayers you have for 2023. As you consider everything that is to come, receive joy, hope, and anticipation in knowing that the end of one Advent is the beginning of another. Jesus, may we Focus on you in this new year, receive everything you have for us, and look ahead to everything you’ll do in and through us as we live with anticipation of your return. Happy New Year - the best is yet to come!
*There are no in-person services at Paradox on Sunday, January 1. Please join us for an online-only service at 10am featuring a guided at-home, year-end reflection & planning resource.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
TALK. That was our take on today’s reading - what’s yours? Share thoughts and ask questions in the forum.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
