Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for from the last 24 hours.
Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
PRAY. What is stressful or challenging as you look ahead at this day? Write it down and talk w/ God about it.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Matthew 9:35-36. Try memorizing it during this study!

THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
As we’ve been reading about Jesus this month - the way he lived, the things he taught, how he treated people, what he valued… - one thing has been clear. We see it all over today’s reading: Jesus always prioritized people. That includes you. Sit with that thought for a moment - you are Jesus’ priority today. What you’re thinking, feeling, struggling with, facing, and going through. Near or far, sinner or saint. You are Jesus’ priority. Why don’t we always see or feel that? Well, people tend to prioritize other things over people, God, and even themself. (Even when it seems we’re prioritizing our “self.”) People prioritized profits over the man who was possessed by a demon. They prioritized pressures and plans over the woman who had been bleeding. People even prioritized their own understanding of what is possible over what Jesus wanted to do for Jairus’ daughter. And yet, Jesus always prioritized the person. You are his priority today. There will always be a cost to following Jesus - but the cost of not following him is even greater. Jesus paid it all for you - his priority. He comes to you as he came to the demon-possessed man. Not to torment or punish you. You may bound and driven into isolation. Your sin may have even become your identity. Jesus wants to remove your shame, restore your mind, heal you, and redeem you. Today, will you choose him over profit, pressures, your plans, and even your own understanding of what is possible?
ASK. Throughout this study, we’ll be practicing Discovery Bible Study (DBS) together. After each day’s reading, ask the following questions and write down your thoughts.
What is the main point of this passage?
What does it teach you about God (Jesus)?
What does it show you about people, or yourself?
What can you apply (practice) from this passage today?
Who can you share this with today?
How did you do practicing and sharing what you learned yesterday?
PRAY (AGAIN). Pray for a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who came to mind, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
TALK. That was our take on today’s reading - what’s yours? Share thoughts and ask questions in the forum.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.
Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
