Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for from the last 24 hours.
Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
PRAY. What is stressful or challenging as you look ahead at this day? Write it down and talk w/ God about it.
READ.
Our Scripture Focus is Matthew 9:35-36. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Luke 15-16
THINK. A Thought from Holly MacDonald…
Luke 15-16 hold some of the most amazing yet challenging teaching Jesus gave. In the parables of the lost sheep, coin, and son we see God’s heart and His love for every one of His children. A righteous and perfect God goes to the ends of the earth to find sinners and bring them home. It’s God’s heart that all of His sons and daughters would come home to spend eternity with Him! He doesn’t want any to fall away. This is God’s extravagant love for you on display! Jesus then switches gears in Luke 16 to talk about our hearts and the lordship of Christ. The way we steward or manage the material goods we have on this earth puts our heart on display. Our use of money, possessions, time, or talents can be like a mirror into our soul which shows who or what really sits on the throne of our hearts. Because of God’s extravagant love towards you, it should bend our hearts to want to love and serve Him with every gift that He’s given us! Let today’s Scripture reading peel back the curtains of your heart and ask is Jesus really King over my money, possessions, time, and talents. Am I being faithful in this season with the resources that the Lord has given to me? Ask God to show you an area today that He wants you to grow in.
ASK. Throughout this study, we’ll be practicing Discovery Bible Study (DBS) together. After each day’s reading, ask the following questions and write down your thoughts.
What is the main point of this passage?
What does it teach you about God (Jesus)?
What does it show you about people, or yourself?
What can you apply (practice) from this passage today?
Who can you share this with today?
How did you do practicing and sharing what you learned yesterday?

PRAY (AGAIN). Pray for a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who came to mind, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
TALK. That was our take on today’s reading - what’s yours? Share thoughts and ask questions in the forum.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
