Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
ENTER. Write down or say out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for from the last 24 hours.
FOCUS. Slowly breathe in… and out. Pray, Jesus, I surrender to you today and trust in you.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is 2 Chronicles 7:13-14. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from 1 Chronicles 9 & Galatians 3:28-29
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Well, one week and 9 chapters in, you’ve finally made it through the lengthy list of genealogies in 1 Chronicles. You did it! The hardest part is behind you. So, why are we reading all this anyway? Remember, although they may look like names on paper to us, each one of those names represents a person. An imperfect, broken, messy person that was one small part of the imperfect, broken, messy story of not only Israel, but humanity. It’s a story we’re part of too. Someday, our names too will be but a blip in the long history of humanity… but not to our God. Each of these names is a person that is loved by their Creator. He cares about them enough to write each of their names in His Book, and longs to write theirs and yours in His Book of Life. God is faithful even when they weren’t and we’re not. Chronicles is so much more than a list of old names - it’s an anchor for us today. It helps people, who are prone to forget, to remember. To not lose sight of the new life that was won for us at the cross and the empty tomb. The season of Lent invites us to look back and reflect on the whole story of redemption - to remember our propensity to sin, to repent of our vain attempts to rescue ourselves, and that God is faithful. His promises have always been and will always be true. In light of His story, the invitation of Lent is to reorient our lives toward right relationship and right worship of our faithful God.

In this Lent season, we’ll be using the P.R.A.Y. model of prayer.
P = Pause. As you start your time of prayer, pause and be still before the Lord.
R = Read. Read the passage of the day (from the Daily Prayer Guide) slowly and be sensitive to the words or phrases that the Holy Spirit is highlighting to you.
A = Ask. Ask God to come and speak to you. Open up your heart to your heavenly Father.
Y = Yield. Yield your life to the words you have prayed and commit to follow Jesus’ way.
