Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
ENTER. Write down or say out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for from the last 24 hours.
FOCUS. Slowly breathe in… and out. Pray, Jesus, I surrender to you today and trust in you.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is 2 Chronicles 7:13-14. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from 2 Chronicles 3-5, Exodus 26:31-35 & Hebrews 9:11-14
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
I’m into decor. I like my house and my office to look nice, clean, and have the right feng-shui. Especially if I’m having people over. So, what happens when there’s a mess and someone’s at the door? Easy - you put it where no one can see it. Throw stuff in a closet, a junk drawer, or under the bed. We tend to care least about the places that are least visible to others. As Solomon builds the temple, scripture says that the Most Holy Place (the place of God’s fullest presence), was overlaid with 45,000 pounds of fine gold. Beautiful. That all sounds well and good, of course, until you realize something - no one would really ever see it. One priest would enter, one day a year - on the day of atonement. (Foreshadowing Jesus, our high priest, who would enter into the Most Holy Place to be our sacrifice once and for all thousands of years later.) Other than that… the only one that would see it was God himself. It’s an interesting, if not convicting, thought. How much do you pay attention to the hidden places of your heart? The places only God can see. Do you have a “secret” life with God? Do you give God your best? How much of what is most valuable to you is given toward the things other people will see? And how much is given to what only God can see? Today, pray that you would surrender what others see and think of you, and live for an audience of One.
