Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Today’s scripture reading is from Ezekiel 36-37 (Go Deeper: Hosea 6:1-3 & John 11:23-26)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
It’s spring. The time of new life. But before every spring, there’s a fall and a winter. Sometimes, you have to clear away the mess, the old, the dead stuff to make new growth and life possible. God is not simply a God of judgment. God is a God of promise, hope, and restoration. Not because God’s judgment is a mistake, isn’t good, isn’t fair, or is too much… but because God is good. And new life has always been God’s intention - even in the judgment, the consequence, and the pain. God is good, and God is working for our good. God’s promise is that Israel will be “better off than before.” That’s why Jesus came - to save us from “good enough.” To give us something better - life, and life to the full (John 10:10). But the hard, dead outside needs to be removed before revival and restoration can happen. Notice the pattern of Ezekiel 36:25-28. The outside is cleansed/removed so that God can do a work of revival (new life, heart of flesh) on the inside that results in restoration/blessing on the outside. Don’t despise the removal. It’s the pruning and refining process that clears the way for new life, which was God’s intention all along.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
