Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Today’s scripture reading is from Ezekiel 38-39 (Go Deeper: Psalm 107:1-3)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
For some, it represents a guard. Others, weapons. Perhaps you think of a building, a dog, or even a blanket. Still others think of a job, a person, or financial status. The word? Security. It’s something that eliminates fear and anxiety. People build walls, armies, wealth, and relationships pursuing it. What does it represent to you? Today’s reading sheds light on the fact that what matters is not the feeling of security itself, since so many things can give it without actually providing it. The real question is - where, what, or who do you find security in? The things we often look to for security, to protect us, can actually end up “protecting us” from God - keeping Him out of our life. The only real security is knowing the Lord is your God. Take down your walls. Embrace the insecurity of vulnerability and dependency, and find true security in Him today.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
