FOCUS. Breathe in & out slowly. Pray, because of Jesus’ resurrection, I have hope today.
THANK. Write down or say out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for from the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Read Isaiah 25:8-9. Focus on one truth about who God is & thank Him for it.
PRAY. Pray the Lord’s Prayer, a Ripple Prayer, or find more at paradoxchurch.com/pray.
READ. Today’s reading is from 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 & Revelation 21-22
ASK. After reading, ask the following SOS Questions & journal your thoughts.
S = Say. What is the main point? What does it teach about God (Jesus) & yourself?
O = Obey. What can you apply (practice) from this passage today?
S = Share. Who can you share what you’re learning with today?

Is there anything worse than not being prepared for the weather? I’ll never forget our last men’s backpacking retreat with Paradox Church. In addition to it being an amazing time of bonding in one of Michigan’s most beautiful places, the Pictured Rocks, (Join us for this year’s Men’s Backpacking Retreat!) and getting away to spend some time with God… the weather was freezing. Because I try as much as possible to NOT go outside in the cold, I don’t have winter backpacking gear. I didn’t think I’d need it at the end of May… but I was wrong. Not being dressed for the environment can make life miserable. In the same way, there’s a way of “dressing for” the “environment” when it comes to eternity with Jesus. Scripture tells us that when Jesus returns, we will have “incorruptibility and immortality” added to our current “corruptible, mortal” body. Why? Well, in addition to “zombie” not being a great look, when Jesus says He is making everything new, He is inviting us to become new people. In order to live in the new world Jesus is making, we need to be made new. Every part of us. Mind. Body. Spirit. (Renew your mind. Be Born Again. Clothe yourself with eternity.) Want to start packing? Check out Colossians 3:1-17. Clothe yourself with God’s newness, and go start living in His new world today. When Jesus brings it fully, you’ll be prepared.
