Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Ephesians 4:4-6. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Matthew 25:1-13 & 2 Peter 3:8-13 (Go Deeper: John 14:1-3, Titus 2:11-13, James 5:7-8 & Psalm 130:5-6)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
There’s a huge difference between just waiting around and preparing. Waiting feels like it takes forever. It’s boring. And I can’t tell you how many times my kids are “waiting” to leave for school but still aren’t actually ready when it’s time to leave! Preparing, on the other hand, is active. It’s exciting at best, or at least not boring. It can be busy, and often feel like the time goes way too fast. When it comes to Jesus’ return, far too many Christians are waiting around in churches and Bible studies instead of preparing. How do we prepare? Know and love God. Love to be with Him (that’s great practice for when you’ll do that forever.) Become like Him. And do what He does. The Church exists in response to Jesus’ first coming and continues on in anticipation of His promised return. Through all circumstances we are called to live in such a way that our present faith and obedience reflect our future, glorious hope.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Let us know here or reply via text.
SHARE. Invite a friend to read the Focus with you! Just text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
Make it a Great One!
