Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
MEMORIZE. Our Scripture Focus for this study is Exodus 15:1-3. Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry God’s Word with us wherever we go.
READ. Today’s reading is Exodus 17-18. (Go Deeper: Deuteronomy 17:8-11, Acts 6:1-7)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Mike…
Do you feel burnt out? Like you have more to do than you can bear on your own? If you’re feeling that way, then you probably do have too much on your plate. We see back-to-back-to-back accounts in today’s reading of Moses needing help. First God intervenes directly to provide water for his people what Moses can’t. Then Moses closest allies help him carry a physical burden. Lastly Moses gets wise advice from his father-in-law to delegate his judging duties. Where do you need help in your life right now? Is there something you can delegate that you don’t need to be doing? Is there something your friends, family, or church can help you with? Is there something only God can do, and he is just waiting for you to ask?
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Let us know here or reply via text.
SHARE. Invite a friend to read the Focus with you! Just text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.
Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
