Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Proverbs 4:13. Try memorizing it this week!
Today’s reading is from Proverbs 3:5-6, Proverbs 4:13, Proverbs 10:17, Proverbs 11:14, Proverbs 12:15-16, Proverbs 13:20 & Proverbs 19:20
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
On a purely intellectual level, the concepts of seeking counsel, remaining teachable, and exploring what we do not understand make perfect sense. But because we are proud, our hearts often tense up at the suggestion that we have much to learn. The way of wisdom is about more than simply obtaining new information. It’s about living as part of a community where we gladly regard one another as valuable. How do you react when people try to tell you what you should do? How do you react to a command from God that you’re not particularly fond of? Take an honest look at your life. What does it mean to walk with wise people? (Proverbs 13:20) How is this something you are doing, or could do, in your life? Are you becoming someone who has counsel and instruction to give? Is there anyone in your life right now who needs your wisdom, experience, or counsel?
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Let us know here or reply via text.
SHARE. Invite a friend to read the Focus with you! Just text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
Make it a Great One!
