Gather Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Ephesians 2:19-22. Try memorizing it this week!
Today’s reading is from Acts 2:41-47 (Going Deeper: Hebrews 10:23-25)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
One of my favorite quotes is from a woman named Margaret Mead. She said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” In Acts 1, the entire church in the whole world (about 120 people) fit in the same room. They were committed to Jesus, and to each other. When they gathered, Acts 2:1 tells us something special happened. God’s power filled the room, and filled them. That day would start what we see in Acts 2 - the early church. Gathering together at temple, listening to the apostles’ teaching, praying for one another, and taking communion together. Perhaps that’s where their power - power to live life together, see healings and miracles, give away what they had, and see lives changed, and the world changed. There’s great power when God’s people gather. Take a step this week - commit to gathering with the church. Make Sundays at 10am a priority, and join us at the next Membership Dinner.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
