THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Whether we think the “good life” is built, made, or had, Jesus speaks to the temptation to define our quality of life by things. Jesus said that life (real, true, full, eternal life) is not found in what you have - it’s in what you give. God gave abundantly. The man in the parable (practical story that shows a spiritual truth) lived to do less, have more, and enjoy it all himself. On the contrary, Jesus teaches us to work diligently, live simply, give generously - because in God’s economy, it’s in “losing” that you actually find. Don’t keep all of something for yourself that wasn’t yours to begin with. Give it away before you lose it. Whether it’s money or time, God gives us things to provide for our needs, and does so abundantly - over and above - for our enjoyment AND His glory. How do we love God with everything we have? By generously giving back from everything we have. Where God has been generous with us, we are free to be generous with God. Take a step this week by volunteering (attend a Fall Kickoff at Paradox) and giving generously.

PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
