Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Ruth 4:14. Try memorizing it this week!
Today’s reading is from Ruth 1:6-18 (Going Deeper: Psalm 136:1-4, Psalm 146:5-10 & Ephesians 2:11-13)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Sometimes when I read the Scripture, I look for one word that seems to catch my attention and hold it. Today, it was “return.” Remember from yesterday’s reading that Naomi’s and her family was originally from Bethlehem (Israel). When things got tough (there was a famine), they left for Moab - a different place, with different people, and different gods. But things didn’t get any better. In fact, 10 years later, Naomi found herself worse off, and returning to Bethlehem. Life was hard, “bitter,” even, and she believed God was against her. She wanted to be left alone, even encouraged her daughers-in-law to go worship other gods. But she was about to learn something about God’s faithfulness from her daughter-in-law, Ruth, about God’s faithfulness. Even when it doesn’t look like it or make sense, God is faithful. He stays with us. He provides. No matter what you left looking for, you can always return. Better yet, follow Ruth’s example of faithfulness. Don’t leave the place of God’s provision. Stay with Him. Wherever God goes, go. Wherever God is, be. Make God’s people YOUR people. Make today your day. Thank God for His faithfulness, and offer yours in return.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
