Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Leviticus 20:26. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Leviticus 8-9 (Going Deeper: Hebrews 4:15-16 & Revelation 5:9-10)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
God’s “presence” is a central theme of Leviticus. But what exactly is God’s “presence”? While it’s true that God is present everywhere, God is also present in specific, direct, personal and intimate ways. We can experience God’s presence more fully when we walk with Him through daily, focused time (like this!) as Adam and Eve did in the garden. God instructed Moses to build a temple where people could see and experience God’s presence (like church). God sent Jesus and then the Holy Spirit to show us His heart and make a relationship with Him possible. And one day, the whole earth will be made new and God will dwell personally and fully with us, His people. Our life today is to reflect that coming reality - a life lived fully in God’s presence, called the “Kingdom of God” - by living out His ways here on earth, today. Today, be fully present to God, and He will be fully present in us and to us as well through His Holy Spirit.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.
Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
