Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Leviticus 20:26. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Leviticus 26:13-46 & Leviticus 27 (Going Deeper: Psalm 116:12-14 & 2 Corinthians 9:7-8)
THINK. A Thought from Holly MacDonald…
Today’s reading begins with many ‘if – then’ statements. Israel was faced with the consequences of disobeying God and breaking His covenant. If Israel chose obedience, peace would follow, if not, disaster would. Towards the end of Leviticus 26, we get to see God’s mercy on display. If Israel confessed, chose humility, and paid for their sins, God’s covenant with them would be remembered. This can be a difficult section to read if we don’t know the heart of the Father. God’s heart is that His children would be in a covenant relationship with Him, walking closely and intimately, leaning into His voice, following His ways.
Leviticus ends with voluntary offerings and their regulations God gave Moses. Though the Israelites were required to give certain things back to God, some would wish to give over and above back to Him out of overwhelming gratitude. God taught that the Israelites should not go back on their promise, even if it cost more than they intended it to. Likewise, when we’ve decided what in our heart to give, we should do so willingly and cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7-8). When we’ve experienced God’s mercy and grace, we cannot help but overflow with joy and gratitude. How might God be calling you in this season to give over and above? Time? Money? Resources? Skills?

LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
