Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.

Today’s reading is from Genesis 3, Romans 5:12-21, 1 Corinthians 15:45-49, Colossians 1:14-23 & Revelation 1:8
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Advent is a Latin word that means “coming” or “arrival.” Advent is a season of the Church calendar that stretches from four Sundays before Christmas Day through Christmas Eve. It is a season full of hope, expectation, and longing. This year, our Advent reading plan is guided by the lyrics of the hymn, “Come, Though Long-Expected Jesus.” The words of this song remind us that, as Christians, we are people who live between two Advents. In this season, we remember and celebrate the Son of God coming down to us, taking on humanity to be born as a baby in Bethlehem. And we anticipate His future, triumphant return as the King of kings. Every one of us knows what it means to long for someone or something. But like the snow, so many of the earthly things we long for eventually fade away, daily to satisfy, or possibly never come at all. That’s because the deep-rooted longing of every human heart can only be satisfied by the God who created us. The One we’re longing for is Jesus. In this season marked by longing for “things,” begin this season by asking yourself exactly what it is you’re longing for. What your heart truly desires. And as we read together, ask the God who came to dwell with us to align your longings with His and satisfy your heart in Him. As you do, may you experience the fullness of joy in Jesus this Christmas season. Come, thou long expected Jesus!
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
TALK. That was our take on today’s reading - what’s yours? Share thoughts and ask questions in the forum.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
