Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.

THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Have you ever saved for something? At one time or another, we’ve all wanted something so much, so badly, that we were willing to wait, save, and sacrifice to get it. That’s what I think of when I hear the word “sacrifice” - what you’re willing to give up in order to get something even more valuable. There’s a line that Abraham speaks in today’s reading so rich, so powerful and so prophetic that it echoes through my mind and through generations into eternity… “God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my Son.” Just think of it. Here Is Abraham’s long-awaited son (Abraham had already waited 75 years for a son, and when he finally was promised one it was another 25 years before that promise would be fulfilled in Isaac) asking where the lamb was for their offering to God. What were they going to sacrifice? I believe that line was not a lie, but rather full of faith. Abraham was willing to sacrifice anything for God… and his heart was still full of faith that God would provide the rest. He didn’t know when. He didn’t know how… but God would provide. It would be approximately another 1800 years before that same promise would truly be fulfilled in a small town on a silent night with another son - Jesus. God himself would provide the sacrifice. Our God doesn’t simply ask for sacrifices. Our God makes them. He provides a way. Is there a sacrifice God may be asking you to make? Remember, He’s the God who sacrificed it all for you. Where are you waiting today? Where do you need God’s provision? Whatever you’re facing. No matter how long you’ve been waiting… God himself has provided, and God himself will provide again. May you walk in the faith of Abraham today - confident in God’s provision for today and all of eternity, eagerly anticipating Jesus’ return.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
TALK. That was our take on today’s reading - what’s yours? Share thoughts and ask questions in the forum.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
