Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Revelation 1:8. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Daniel 2:44-45, Isaiah 11:1-9, Mark 4:26-32, John 18:36-37, Ephesians 1:20-21, & Revelation 11:15-17
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Mike…
From the prophets of old like Daniel and Isaiah, to the apostles of Jesus day, and including Jesus himself, we read in today’s scripture selections what is apparent throughout the Bible…God plans to establish a kingdom. What will this kingdom be like? It will be indestructible, eternal, peaceful, and ruled by Jesus. For those of us who choose to be part of this kingdom, our intimate knowledge of God that will come from being in his presence will help us to live in peace and joy with all those present. I think about all these Christmas movies that have been on, and how many talk about a “spirit of Christmas” . The characters in these films, even the ones that didn’t get along before the holidays, always seem to find common ground and make room in their hearts for each other. I think the spirit of Christmas is real, and it is the same Spirit that longs to lead us all year round and guide us all the way until we meet Jesus face to face. Emanuel is a term associated with Christmas and means “God with us”. Some day Emanuel will be the only reality, and he will rule his kingdom in truth and love forever. O come, o come, Emanuel!!!
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
TALK. That was our take on today’s reading - what’s yours? Share thoughts and ask questions in the forum.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.
Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
