Today’s reading is from Matthew 22.
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Mike…
In today’s reading we have a record of many Jewish religious leaders trying to trap Jesus with their questions. Each time the leaders are expecting a certain answer and are stunned and silenced when he says something unexpected, but filled with uncommon wisdom and authority. How amazing it would have been to live in the same time and place as Jesus and be able to hear directly from him! Thankfully, we will some day be able to learn from him in person for eternity. Until then, we will need to be satisfied with his valuable words found in the Bible. Let’s soak in all his teachings and strive to live as he instructs us.
For today, let’s absord this one: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind… and…Love your neighbor as yourself.”
