Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists & let it play in the background.

O = Obey. What can you apply (practice) from this passage today?
S = Share. Who can you share what you’re learning with today?
THINK. A Thought from Cecelia Thapa
In today’s reading, I couldn’t get my mind off of verses 1-6 where Amos asks God to relent. I kept going back to them. I was reminded, again, of the beauty in intercession; interceding on behalf of someone else. Amos didn’t have to ask God to stop or to forgive Israel, but the Spirit invited or prompted him to do so on behalf of Israel. He could have ignored it and done nothing, and God would have poured his judgment out. There’s this holy beauty and fear in intercession… The great responsibility one has to ask God to relent but also the joy, hope, and expectation in knowing that God WANTS us to intercede and ask him to hold back his judgment and show his mercy instead. I mean, think about it, when God is inviting you to pray for someone else, he’s inviting you to be a part of what He wants to do in that person's life. It’s so exciting when you’ve been praying for somebody else and then you begin to see those very prayers come to fruition. That’s because when we, the saints, pray God’s will in Jesus’ name, God moves! That really gets me pumped! It makes me want to pray more! What if we said YES to that invitation this morning and prayed on behalf of someone else, maybe even someone whom we don’t think “deserves” it? Because let's be honest, Israel didn’t deserve it either but God still wanted to show his love and mercy to them. The same God then is the same God now. Let’s partner with him in showing love and mercy to someone today.
