Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Ephesians 4:1-6. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Luke 4:16-21 & Luke 24:13-35 (Go Deeper: 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12-13 & Psalm 119:97-105)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
One of my favorite interactions recorded in Scripture happens along the road to Emmaus. As two of Jesus’ disciples are walking, they’re discussing and arguing about current events - feeling defeated, discouraged, and hopeless. When they meet this ‘stranger’ along the way, they assume that, because he isn’t responding the way they are, that he hasn’t heard the news. But he has. What is the difference? Jesus is familiar with ‘what the prophets said.’ Jesus knows the Scripture. He views current events through them. And his reactions are in light of them. The Church is shaped, encouraged, and convicted by the teaching and sharing of God’s Word. Today, I pray that our hearts would burn within us in the presence of Jesus as we read and learn from the Scriptures, and that our eyes would be opened to recognize Him wherever He may be along our way.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Let us know here or reply via text.
SHARE. Invite a friend to read the Focus with you! Just text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
Make it a Great One!
