Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
MEMORIZE. Our Scripture Focus for this study is Exodus 15:1-3. Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry God’s Word with us wherever we go.
READ. Today’s reading is Exodus 40. (Go Deeper: Isaiah 6:3, Matthew 3:16-17, Acts 2:1-4)
THINK. A thought from Pastor Mike…
As the book of Exodus closes, we see that God is dwelling with his people, Israel. They are staying with him, camping in one spot until he gives them the sign to move on. May we be wise enough to follow this pattern in our own lives. We don’t have a mysterious cloud to follow...we have something better: the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised the Counselor, the very spirit of God himself, was available to guide any and all of us willing to lay down our agendas, pick up our cross, and follow him. This is so important! What are you feeling God leading you into today? A conversation with someone else? An end to a life-draining sin? A hospitable act to your neighbor? Rest? Whatever it is, do it! Experience the life-giving peace that can be felt when your spirit aligns with God’s . That’s what we were made for.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Let us know here or reply via text.
SHARE. Invite a friend to read the Focus with you! Just text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.
Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
Make it a Great One!
