Today’s reading is from Ruth 3:14-18 (Going Deeper: Psalm 37:3-7, 16-29 & Philippians 4:4-9)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Boaz tells Ruth to leave while it was dark not because anything happened that night, but because he didn’t want anyone to think something had. Ruth had asked Boaz to be her family redeemer, but there was someone else who technically would be first in line who he was going to discuss the matter with. Boaz shows us that it isn’t just “God’s will” that matters - but also God’s way and God’s time. Don’t take the shortcut today. Don’t rush the process. That’s what waiting on God is all about. Doing the right thing, the right way, at the right time. God is faithful to provide for the needs of those who trust Him and wait for Him to work in His way and time.
Be faithful in the waiting today. God will take care of you today as He works out tomorrow.
