Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Revelation 1:8. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Psalm 16:5-11, Isaiah 55:10-13, John 20:1-20, 1 Peter 1:3-12 & John 16:20-22
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
One of the greatest Christmas gifts of all can be found in a gift bag. You open it up, pull something out, and (hopefully) are filled with gladness, joy and gratitude! But wait… suddenly someone yells out a beautiful phrase from across the room - “There’s more!” In a moment, your heart is filled with the same excitement of finding an onion ring hiding in your Burger King fries. There’s more to the gift! Something you didn’t know about before, perhaps hadn’t seen, and could have entirely missed. At Christmas, God exclaims, “There’s more!” in Jesus. Psalm 16 says that the boundaries have fallen for each of us in pleasant places, that we have a beautiful inheritance, that in God’s presence there is abundant joy and eternal pleasures. And we find all of that within God’s boundaries for us. Imagine a plot of land - an inheritance - if you will. Some stop short of everything God has for them, settling for less. To them, God says “There’s more!” God has more joy for you in receiving all and exactly what He has for you. No less - but also no more. When we receive all God has for us, we can also rest. We don’t need to go outside of God’s boundaries for joy. It’s in His presence. Today, ask God if He has more joy for you by receiving and living in His boundaries for your life.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
TALK. That was our take on today’s reading - what’s yours? Share thoughts and ask questions in the forum.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
